Marian Expedition (5-16-08) Part II

So the bus did went on and on and on as I deeply drowsed to sleep. But even as I sleep, I can really feel my head banging left, then right, then left. When i woke up, the people are all laughing due to the zigzag road we just passed through.
So we finally arrived to Sta. Maria, Laguna at about 8:50 in the morning. We went inside the church and started chanting our prayer for the Second Church. After that, Me and my mom decided to do a mini photo shoot in the grotto just in front of the church. One of the frames are in the left side. By the way, I'm sorry for my pose, I just love posing a lot!

The church was kind of old in the outside, just like the Barrio-type Churches of Laguna. but the people were so welcoming there and even shared a part of their churches History which I failed to her because my ears were a bit impaired. Just a bit and the Lady's voice was so soft which added to the reason.

Then right after, We went to the next Church in Pangil, Laguna. The road there was spectacular. The fields were so beautiful! And I mean vast fields full of rice. You can even imagine yourself sitting on its middle and reading a book with a jug of orange juice beside you! I took a shot of the blissful fields while we were on the bus as you can see on the right. It reminded me of the Bliss Wallpaper of Windows XP.

Now, at Pangil , Laguna, The road starts to narrow and the bus really begins to have a hard time passing through but as you do, you can see the beautiful ancestral houses that lined up the narrow roads!
As we entered the church, It was OK but something bothered most of us, the smell, I'm sorry to tell but it smells like rats. But it's OK we just went in because It's the prayer why we went there in the first place. So after we have prayed for the third church, we took shots of the beautiful saints. Most of them are Mama Mary. The one on the left shows the birth of Mary and on the right, the pregnant Mary. Both are said to be given by Prince Carlos of Spain to the parish just before he became King. He even is said to lived in Pangil for like three years. And as we rode the bus, we looked forward for another long drive and another experience, another church.

Marian Expedition (5-16-08) Part I

Tick-Tock-Tick-Tick-ringggg!!! Clock rang at 1:30 am! Time to wake up! Because It sure is going to be a long day! So I went to the bathroom to do my hygiene and went out to make sure all my things are properly and completely in my bags. Wait for my mom, dad, lola and rjay. As we are complete, we went to the church where the bus is. It's 3 am and my cousin and Aunt is not yet there so we were slightly panicking because we should not waste time but it's quite OK because my Brother is the one in-charge for the tour. He works for the church by the way. And when we were all there, by 3:30, we departed from the Parish. We were a bus full including our Parish Priest and many more parish workers.
The road going there was spectacular! Especially the road up to Antipolo City, You can see the lights mostly Incandescent that made the land full of yellow lights that makes you love it as you see it! Just like seeing Paris from the Eiffel Tower. I haven't been there but I can say that's what I see on pictures.
After an hour and a quarter, atr Exactly 4:45, we arrived at Antipolo Church. The mass, that will be conducted by our own Rev. Fr. Virgilio Tagle will be held at 6:00 am so we still have time to do our dawn pictures just like on the left where I was infront of the Beautiful Antipolo Church. I know it's a bit dark but You'll got a chance to see it a bit later. This shot was done by my friend Rjay! I was delighted to see that I looked a bit slimmer in this shot and while I was wearing that long-sleeved shirt. The sky was amazing. never seen the sky in a deep Blue shade! So while killing the time, we just roamed around, tried to take some shots and looked for the others.

So as the clock strikes 6, we went inside the church and the mass started. It was nothing unfamiliar because it is still as great as our father's masses at our Parish, Just the church we're in. Right after the mass, The Pilgrimage Prayer for our first Church was read by everyone and then after that, we suddenly, the three of us Me, Judy and Rjay, went to Jollibee to grab some munches to eat. Then my brother called while we were still starting our chow that we are the only ones that aren't there in the bus! So we rushed our food and scraped out of the restaurant! And when we went up the bus, They found out that there are still others not in there! I was a bit bugged because I didn't enjoyed such a nice meal! So after that, we went on the road. This time, to Sta. Maria, Laguna. Click on the square photos to see the rest of my photos at Antipolo on Larger views via Flickr
